School Workshops

We offer workshops that introduce pupils to the world of conflict management, environmental protection, planning for the future and other areas, and that inspire a passion for learning, innovation and reflection.

Our workshops for Viennese schools offer pupils the opportunity to explore a wide variety of topics, guided by young trainers who work closely with the teaching staff and reflect the diversity found in the classroom. The aim is to inspire young people to take an interest in education, science and the application of knowledge in practice. In doing so, we strive to introduce pupils to these topics, motivate them and provide them with long-term support.

Good to know: We work in partnership with Wiener Bildungschancen, which funds 100 per cent of the seminars for Years 1–9.

Our workshops:

Stronger Together – Managing Conflicts within a Team This workshop equips pupils with tools for constructive conflict resolution. They learn to recognise conflicts, stay calm and develop joint solutions. Teamwork is strengthened, and reflecting on their own behaviour promotes self-awareness and empathy. Through role-plays and group exercises, what they have learnt is put into practice. In this way, pupils gain self-confidence and social skills and are better prepared for challenges at school and in their careers.

Climate Detectives – Our Planet & UsThis seminar provides an understanding of climate change and how pupils can actively contribute to climate protection. Through interactive activities, discussions and practical exercises, participants explore the causes and consequences of climate change and learn how to reduce their ecological footprint. They develop concrete measures, discover renewable energy sources and sustainable transport options, and share their insights to help build a more sustainable future. The seminar promotes knowledge, critical thinking and social engagement.

Self-management: Succeeding in everyday life. This workshop teaches pupils time-management and self-organisation techniques to help them tackle tasks efficiently and make time for relaxation. They learn to set priorities, draw up timetables and avoid stress by organising their time effectively. Through self-reflection, they identify personal obstacles and improve their habits. Practical exercises such as the ‘Eisenhower Matrix’ or the ‘Pomodoro Technique’ help them to organise their tasks more effectively. The seminar thus provides a solid foundation for a stress-free school life.

Discover & Discuss: Science & EthicsThis interactive workshop offers pupils the opportunity to explore the link between science and ethics and to discuss moral issues. Through group work, role-plays and discussions, they develop their critical thinking and communication skills. In realistic scenarios, they learn to analyse ethical dilemmas and make responsible decisions. The course not only promotes an understanding of science and ethics, but also fosters important social skills and a reflective mindset.

Stress Management: Staying Relaxed at SchoolThe workshop teaches pupils stress management and mindfulness techniques to help them find calm and composure in their everyday school life. They learn to manage their thoughts, improve their concentration and develop a positive inner attitude. Mindfulness exercises, such as breathing techniques and meditation, help them to focus on the present moment and find inner peace. Practical exercises and group discussions create a supportive environment in which they can discover which techniques work best for them. This prepares them for the challenges of everyday school life and teaches them to deal with stress in a balanced way.

Planning for the Future: Thinking about tomorrow today. The workshop supports pupils in their career guidance by helping them to link their interests and strengths with potential career paths. They gain insights into various professions and training pathways and reflect on their own skills and values. Through practical exercises and group work, they develop a clearer picture of their future careers, whilst strengthening their social skills and self-confidence.

Media literacy: Making sensible use of TikTok and similar platforms This seminar teaches pupils how to engage with social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in a reflective manner. Pupils learn to critically examine their own media use and to recognise risks such as loss of privacy, cyberbullying and fake news. There is a focus on the creative and positive use of social media to create their own content authentically and without overexposure. Through theoretical input, practical exercises and interactive workshops, pupils become responsible, active shapers of their digital presence.

Changing Role Models: The workshop encourages participants to reflect on their own role models, as well as those presented in the media and within their families. Participants are encouraged to consciously recognise the influences that have shaped them and to critically examine these, whilst actively taking into account the diversity of their lived experiences. A key focus is on the impact of language, particularly through discussion of gendered job titles, in order to raise awareness of how language influences role models.
